1.Please write down freely your impressions of this seminar

  1)Your good impressions

  1. Comparing UK and Japan
I was impressed with the child-friendly environment
I learned a lot about the practices of HPS such as distraction and preparation
It is ideal to think children first in the hospital and the society. I think this is a big issue in Japan.
  2. About sick children
Always children come first. Respect children’s rights on plays. Create the environment for children. It is important to have trusting relationship with children.
  3. How the seminar was presented
It was easy to follow thanks to pictures and PowerPoint.
    Appropriate time length.

  2)Your bad impressions

  1. The questions reg. HPS
What is the position of HPS?
I was not sure the clear roles of HPS. I would like to hear the presentations from a nurse also.
The HPS course should be included in the trainings for doctors and nurses.
I hope more and more public recognize HPS.
  2. How the seminar was presented
It was a little repetitious. I would like to hear more about each case.
The DVD might have been more helpful.

3)Anything you would like to learn more about
I would like to learn more about the struggles of medical staff. The roles and practices of HPS (videos) The working conditions of HPS, doctors, and nurses.

2.Any other opinions and questions besides this seminar

  1. For the future of HPS
I wanted to hear how they plan to use this experience for their work.
This was my first time to learn about HPS and I truly hope that HPS will be recognized more and introduced more in the Japanese pediatrics.
  2. Other opinions
I am a nurse and this seminar gave me a chance to think about what I can do as a nurse.
The current conditions in UK and in Japan are apparently different. I hope these seminars can teach us how to improve the Japanese pediatrics. Thank you for all presenters. I learned a lot from this seminar.
