Purpose

NPHC was founded in July ,1998 by late Midori Nomura with the purpose of improving the environment of pediatrics and introducing play therapy. NPHC has held study groups and forums to exchange ideas and has researched domestically and internationally. NPHC has been getting more public recognition through providing play therapies in hospitals through studying abroad by the members of NPHC. <>The HPS Japan training project in University of Shizuoka Junior College has been granted by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology since 2007. This project train HPS with professional skills to support and advocate sick children thanks to the partnership with Hospital Play Staff Education Trust and National Association of Hospital Play Staff. This project organizes seminars as well as training course to increase social recognition. The second HPS seminar will globally look at the current situations and future issues of Hospital Play Specialists training program with NPHC.
